A Warehouse Assistant Manager is in charge of the management and administration of all freight related activities. He is responsible for the suitable handling and processing of the entire inventory in the warehouse. Supervising and assigning tasks to workers and maintaining seamless functions in the warehouse are also amongst some of the core essentials of the profile of a warehouse lead. Duties and Responsibilities ? Overseeing the handling of consignments and the supervising the loading and unloading of the same. ? Authenticating the receipt and dispatch of consignments with the order forms. ? Managing an account of the entire inventory in the warehouse. ? Ensuring the proper labeling, tagging and packaging of goods and materials. ? Following all necessary documentation and legal procedures for dispatch and receiving goods. ? Organizing and developing systematic plans for loading and unloading of supplies ? Assigning work and functions to all warehouse workers and staff. ? Supervising the proper and smooth functioning of all activities. Skills and Specifications ? Must have exceptional managerial leadership and decision making abilities. ? Good interpersonal and motivational capabilities. ? Understanding of all safety and legal procedures for handling and receiving goods. ? Skills to effectively manage time and meet all necessary deadlines. ? Skills to efficiently coordinate workings with internal and external workers of the company. Education and Qualifications ? At least a Bachelor’s or an associate degree in administration, retail, merchandising, supply chain or any related field of study from an accredited institution is imperative. ? Post Graduate degree or a diploma in material management, inventory or bookkeeping, commodity procurement or any other related discipline gives an added advantage. ? Experience of about 4 to 5 years in warehousing or supply chain management is preferred. Full benefit: vacation, sick leave, holiday and insurance will be provided once pass probation period.
