Technical Application Services Manager Job Number: 14005123 POSITION SUMMARY: Technical leader supporting new product innovation, existing product renovation, business value analyses, and cost saving projects for Nestle Confections and Snacks Division. This is a Corporate technical coordination role that requires interacting with full cross function project teams made up of R&D product developers, factory, project managers, co-manufacturing, engineering, quality assurance, regulatory, marketing, supply chain, purchasing, and finance departments to ensure efficient project implementations and to guarantee the total quality and safety of our finished goods.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Innovation/Renovation: Support cross functional development teams as technical coordinator. Teams are made up of R&D product developers, Project Managers, Quality, Regulatory, Engineering, Packaging, Factories, Marketing, Co-manufacturing, Purchasing and Supply Chain for launch and approval of products, ingredients, packaging and processes from concept to implementation of finished goods. (40% of the time)
Business Value Analyses: Work closely with Marketing to identify, compile and establish total cost of goods for evaluating new business opportunities for Nestle Confections and Snacks. (30% of the time)
Change Management of existing products: Manage and coordinate product and process changes, including ingredients and/or packaging opportunities, to improve the quality and cost of goods. (10% of the time)
Cost Savings: Manage and coordinate value analyses opportunities working with Factories, Finance, Marketing, Quality, Purchasing, and R&D. (10% of time)
Technical coordination: Assist R&D/Factory/ QA in the coordination for troubleshooting issues related to Confectionery Brands that ensure quality and supply while minimizing cost aggravations. (10% of the time)
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Direction received from Director, Technical Services through routine contacts, reports, meetings and reviews. REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL: BS in Science or Engineering EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years total experience in Technical/Operations/R&D. Plant experience a plus.
